Episode 59: Oh Lay!

I'm a bit out of it this episode, but when am I not? I spend a few minutes talking about a couple of smart phone games I'm playing--World War and Robo Defense. If you have a smart phone, you should get them. Let me know your code for World War so I can build my alliance.

For the majority of the episode, I talk about Fables: 1001 Nights of Snowfall (Bill Willingham) and the Fables series in general. You may be surprised by what I think of it.

Episode 58: The NBA Playoffs!

Before I dive into this week's trade, I talk about the NBA playoffs! I spend a few minutes breaking down my bracket. You'd be surprised who I penciled in for the finals. If you listen to me, place a bet, and make a few bucks, please kick some back my way.

I then talk about the freakiest book I've read this year in The Un-Men: Get Your Freak On! (John Walen, Mike Hawthorne). Because of the title, I'm reminded of Missy Elliot. If anyone can tell me what happened to her, please do.

I love this game!

Episode 57: I Hate Fanboys

I'm back and I talk about Wondercon 2010. There were a lot of Vertigo books I bought, which I will be reviewing on the show. Surprisingly, I even bought books of series I didn't particularly care for, but they were 50% off and I'm always willing to go past the first book of a Vertigo series.

Because of RedLetterMedia's recent, humorous review of Episode II, I talk about fanboys and what's wrong with them. However, I will always love their Internet rants. RLM gets me to talk about Star Wars and my lack of memory for the prequels. If you could tell me what happened, I'd appreciate it.

After that long rant, I do go over probably the toughest Vertigo book I've read to date in Unknown Solder: Haunted House (Joshua Dysart, Alberto Ponticelli). In fact, I'm not even sure if I can continue reading the series.
