Episode 85: Welcome to Hollywood!

Believe it or not, I met a very pretty and nice actress, Laura Allen, the day of recording. She's not that famous but she is good in her roles and you've probably seen her work. I then talk about two movies I recently seen, Inception and Scott Pilgrim. One of those was good. Spoiler alert.

Lastly, you can hear me trip over my own tongue as I finish the series and try to explain the trippy and Biblical, Testament: Exodus (Douglas Ruskhoff, Liam Sharp) and of course, mispronounce things.

Episode 84: Why Oh Y?

Things start off normally enough. I talk about the unofficial sponsor of my show, Instocktrades, and their new and improved but not exactly bug free, website. It's just one long commercial. Also, the first trade of Kill Shakespeare is out. Go buy it at Instocktrades.com.

I reach a low point on the show when I talk about Y. Why am I reading this? Why do people like it? Y does get me to do something I haven't done in awhile--rant. Warning: this episode contains S&M, abuse, drugs, bullying, and everything else people whine about.

Episode 83: Zombified

In this episode, I talk about zombies and how various stories have done it wrong and what zombie stories are really about. Hint: it's never about the zombies. For some reason, this show gets me to talk about a ton of non-Vertigo books I've read. I even bring out my paranoia even more than normal.

There's some news items this week before I cover Bloody Mary (Garth Ennis, Carlos Ezquerra). Lastly, I go over how DC dropped the ball on the great Garth Ennis.

Episode 82: Musical Madness!

If you hate hearing me sing, this episode ISN'T for you. I'm more loopy than normal and all over the place. I blame Daylight Savings. I talk poker, Halloween, sports and of course The Walking Dead because everybody else is.

There's a bit of sad news this week in yet another Vertigo cancellation. It's actually a bit of a surprised in which title it is. Lastly, I do a bad job of covering Y: The Last Man--One Small Step (Brian K. Vaughn, Pia Guerra).
